About Allison Steinke

I'm a Certified Neurodivergent Coach, Certified Health & Wellness Coach, and Certified Holistic Nutritionist. I'm also a late diagnosed ADHDer who self identifies as AuDHD, and I homeschool my large, neurospicy family of 11 in rural Alberta, Canada. I'm passionate about helping neurodivergent adults understand their unique brains, appreciate their strengths, and build lives that actually work for them.

My earliest school memories are of playing inside my desk with erasers and pencils, creating a whole other world — completely unaware of what the teacher had said, what we were learning, or what I was supposed to be doing. I remember looking around, wondering how everyone else just knew what was expected. I'd follow along or ask for directions, always trying to keep up.

That feeling followed me into adulthood. The constant sense that everyone else had the manual for life, and I didn't. I spent years trying to perform, trying to be someone I wasn't, and always feeling like I came up short.

When I realized my children likely had ADHD, I started digging deeper into how it shows up, especially in females. As I learned more to support them, I started to understand myself in a whole new way too. Getting my ADHD diagnosis as an adult gave me language for so much of my lived experience. And as I kept learning, I began recognizing the autistic layer underneath it too. I self identify as AuDHD, and that recognition didn't feel like a label. It felt like relief.

As a parent, I see it as my role to guide my kids toward discovering their strengths and passions. I don't want their challenges to define them, and I don't want mine to define me either.

That belief shapes everything I do in coaching. I believe every neurodivergent person has real strengths, no matter their diagnosis or how long it took to get one. ADHD and autism bring challenges, yes, but also creativity, deep intuition, pattern recognition, and a way of seeing the world that the rest of the world genuinely needs. The key is learning to work with your brain, not against it. When we build systems that fit how you actually function and pair that with a growth mindset and real self compassion, everything shifts.

That's where the health and wellness piece comes in. For so many neurodivergent adults, the hardest part isn't knowing what to do. It's doing it consistently, when executive dysfunction gets in the way. My work as a Health & Wellness Coach and Holistic Nutritionist isn't about handing you a protocol and wishing you luck. It's about helping you build sustainable habits in movement, nutrition, and self care that are designed around your brain, not someone else's.

When I began honoring my natural energy flow, recognizing my strengths, and prioritizing true self care, I started to feel alive again. I move my body regularly now, fuel it with nourishing food, and rest in ways that actually restore me. I've lost weight, yes, but more importantly, I've found joy. I'm more present, more fun, and more confident. I'm showing up for my life in ways I once only dreamed of.

And now, I help other adults do the same.
